Description:

Most of my recent figurative pieces are mechanical sculptures. These mixed-media sculptures require the viewers to interact with them by rotating the crankshaft, pressing the lever, or pulling the string. I designed the movements of the sculptures from basic mechanisms such as gears, pulleys, lever, crankshafts, and friction-driven discs. Each device will either make the mouth open, arms raise, head bow, or foot stump. Materials used include wood, two-part compound sculpting clay, metal, and sometimes fabric and glass.
